About
The General Radio 1382 is a Random Noise Generator that can generate noise in one of three spectrums
- "White" noise - constant energy per cycle bandwidth
- "Pink" noise - constant energy per octave bandwidth
- "USASI" noise for calibrating sound level meters as specified in the USASI Standard S1.4
This type of signal is useful for room-acoustics studies, loudspeaker and microphone test, psychoacoustic tests, filter tests, crosstalk measurements, calibration checks on recording systems, and modulation of signal generators and test oscillators.
